Brother of John Fife, The Pioneer Matthew Fife was the brother of William (1720e-1794) and John (1721-1800). Matthew remained in the village of Archill, County Tyrone, Ulster and lived to be 100 years old. Matthew had four daughter and two sons, Matthew and David. At least three of Matthew Senior's grandsons migrated to America. Grandson Matthew, son of Matthew, died in Philadelphia in 1888. David's sons were Matthew Fife of Wilmington, Ohio and William Fife of Palestine, Illinois. A great number of descendants reside today in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
